Hello donors and HFL Lacrosse supporters!

It’s been a little bit since our last update.  Great progress has been made on Legacy Field thanks to your support!  LaShomb Lawn and Landscape broke ground at the end of September behind Manor School and has done some amazing work.  Check their social media for some looks at the work they have done.  New turf was installed just before Thanksgiving and looks amazing!  The board system arrived in December and we have unfortunately hit a few speed bumps.  Some parts did not ship to anchor the boards and couple additional pieces were needed to “fit” the boards on the concrete ribbon better.  Once everything was received winter arrived and shut down the installation due to the cold and wind.  The boards are currently up with some makeshift supports to hold them in place until the weather turns warmer to anchor them down.  Feel free to stop by and check them out, but please stay outside the construction fence as it is still a “construction zone”.

We are planning to have the field available for use early this spring!  This will be a huge help for our youth teams needing a practice space while the fields are unavailable.  Our K, 1-2, and 3-4 teams will be able to play games on the turf.  Also, our mod teams will have an available space besides a gym or parking lot to practice, awesome!

We are still looking to raise about $50,000 more to pay off the field construction.  HFL Youth Lacrosse is running many fundraisers and seeking more corporate donations to reach our goal.  As our supporters, any contacts you have to leverage to help with the lift is greatly appreciated.  We will be holding our Annual Lax Social on Saturday, March 22nd at Wild Wood County Club where we will be looking to raise more funds.  Everyone is invited and bring a friend for a fun night as we kick off the spring lacrosse season!

I cannot express mine and the HFL Youth Lacrosse organization's gratitude enough for the generous and overwhelming support all of you have shown over the last year since we launched this fundraiser, and now, built Legacy Field!  There is still a lot of work and finishing touches needed but Legacy Field is no longer a concept!  And that is thanks to you!
